Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe data about improving students' mathematical problem solving Skill after being given the CTL approach. This type of research is classroom action research that has been carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 19 students in the even semester of the academic year 2011/2012. Data is obtained fromStudent Worksheets and tests. Data analyzed descriptive. The results of the study were an increase in students' mathematical problem solving skill from 21,1% to 63,2% in cycle II.
