The purpose of this study is to describe data about improving students' mathematical problem solving Skill after being given the CTL approach. This type of research is classroom action research that has been carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 19 students in the even semester of the academic year 2011/2012. Data is obtained fromStudent Worksheets and tests. Data analyzed descriptive. The results of the study were an increase in students' mathematical problem solving skill from 21,1% to 63,2% in cycle II.

This study was aimed at improving the ability to write news texts of the seventh-grade students through the implementation of the STAD model assisted by information from the internet as the instructional media. It was a classroom action research. The subjects of this study were 38 students of class VIII-K. The study was located at SMPN 22 Surabaya. It had two cycles in which each cycle consisted of the planning, implementation, observation-evaluation, and reflection phases. Observation and tests were utilized to collect the data; whereas the data analysis was carried out using the descriptive techniques and descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the observation it revealed that in the implementation of the action research the teacher carried out learning activities in accordance with the learning improvement plan. Based on the results of the quantitative data analysis, it indicated that the average score of the students' news text writing ability showed an increase. In the initial phase the average score of the news text writing skills was 77.33 with the achievement of the minimum criteria of mastery learning (known as KKM) reached 68.42%. The first cycle average score was 84.98 with the KKM achievement of 78.95%; the second cycle average score was 87.76% with the achievement of KKM of 100%. It can thus be concluded that the application of the STAD model assisted by the internet-based information could improve the ability to write news text of class VIII-K students of SMP 22 Surabaya.

Problems in the learning process are many students who are less active, silent, and play mobile phones. This study aims to improve student motivation and learning outcomes in the basic training courses in mechanical engineering design by applying the Jigsaw model. This research is a Classroom Action Research. This research was conducted in July-September 2018 in class tenth of Vocational High School No.5 Padang. The number of students is 33 people. This study consisted of 4 cycles. Data was collected using observation sheets and tests. Based on the results of the observation, the average learning motivation in cycle 1 was 52.9%, cycle 2 was 64.5%, cycle 3 was 76.2, and cycle 4 was 86.3. In addition to student learning motivation, learning outcomes also experience a classical increase. In cycle 1 the classical average value was 52.3%, cycle 2 obtained the classical average value of 65.8, cycle 3 obtained the classical average value of 76.1, and cycle 4 obtained the classical average value of 85.9. This means that the application of the Jigsaw learning model can improve students' motivation and learning outcomes in the basic of mechanical engineering design.

This Research conducted at SMPN 15 Kendari aims to enhance the activity of students and teachers and improve student writing skills explanation text. Through the application of learning models halaqah in a classroom action research design for 2 cycles equivalent to 7 meetings in learning. Through a model student center halaqah approaches and teacher learning center integrated so active students and teachers into a single unit. The parcipants of this study were VIII2 grade student at SMPN 15 Kendari many as 22 people, in the final settlement of the study, at the end of the test is only attended by 21 students, for 1 student in sickness. The end of the test data shows the results of student learning or the ability to write explanation texts increased from an average value of 63.62 in the first cycle to 90.47% in the second cycle. The achievement of students in classical end was 80.95% greater than the KKM school by 75%. Student activity and liveliness teachers reached 95%. Some of the characters you see in the learning process with the model halaqah is learning enthusiasm is very high, all the students and teachers are active, independent duty, high motivation.

Assignment of lecturers at school (PDS) is the realization of the LPTK revitalization program, specifically related to partnerships between LPTK and laboratory schools and / or Partner Schools in order to improve the quality of professional teacher and teacher candidates. This study aims to reveal students' perceptions of the implementation of PDS programs held at the Padang State University Laboratory Development School in the 2018/2019 academic year. This type of research is descriptive research. The research instrument was in the form of questionnaires on students' perceptions of the implementation of PDS programs in their schools. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively. The subjects of the study were elementary school, junior high and high school students developing the UNP Laboratory who were targeted by the PDS program. The results of data analysis were obtained (1) The average value of perception of elementary school students was 84.4 with a very good category; (2) The average value of perceptions of junior high school students is 76.4 in the good category; (3) The average value of perceptions of high school students is 81.7 with a very good category. The average overall score is 80.8 with a very good category. Based on these findings it is recommended that the PDS program be carried out continuously and extended to all existing subjects according to the applicable curriculum.

Students’ Activities and Interest to Mathematics Learning Through Discovery Learning (A PDS Project)

Mathematics lesson is considered to be a difficult lesson for students. Students are less interested to learn math and tend to passive during learning process. Consequently, their mathematics achievement are not satisfying. Therefore, we need a learning model that makes students more interested and engage actively during learning process. Discovery learning is as an alternative. For that reason, an action study was conducted. This study attempted to improve students’activeness and interest to learn mathematics through discovery learning model. The site of this study was SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Participant observation was conducted to gain the data of students’activeness and interest. There were two observers of this study. Students of Grade 9 SMP Pembangunan were as the subject of this study. The finding depicts improvement of students’activeness and interest and it is suggested that teacher use this model by first investigate topic in math which is suitable with this model.

Teachers and Students Perception toward the Implementation of Lesson Study for Learning Community in the Framework of Lecturer Deployment

This research attempts to investigate the teachers and students perception toward the implementation of lesson study for learning community in the framework of lecturer deployment. The current research is descriptive quantitative study involving 6 lecturers, 6 teachers and 38 students of Vocational High School Number 1 Kotabumi. Close-Ended Questionares were administered as the instruments to collect the data. Before using the instruments, the researcher measure the validity and reliability. In testing the validity the researcher used expert judgement validation, while reliability the researcher used Cronbach Alpha formula. To analyze the data, the researcher used SPSS.The findings reveal that both teachers and students have positive perceptions toward the implementation of lesson study for learning community in the framework of lecturer deployment. Therefore, it indicates that lecturer deployment program gives positive value for vocational high school students.

Science learning should gives a good scientific process experience and promotes high level thinking skills on students. However, the real conditions show that the both scientific process and integration of high order thinking can’t be been applied well. The solution to this problem is the discovery learning model by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking. The objective of the research was to investigate the effects of the application of the discovery learning model by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking to improve learning outcomes of students. The type of research is classroom action research with a cycle model. The discovery learning model was applied on grade XI MIA 1 students in SMAN 10 Padang. The instrument for collecting data consisted of written test for knowledge aspect and problem solving skill, observation sheet for attitudes aspect, and performance assessment sheet for science process skills aspect. The data analysis technique that used were descriptive statistical analysis and correlated comparison test. From the results of data analysis it can be stated that the application of the discovery learning model by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking can improve the learning outcomes of students including knowledge, attitudes, science process skills aspect and problem solving skills. Thus, the application of the discovery learning model by integrating virtual laboratory and high order thinking has given a positive effect in improving learning outcomes of students.

Physics learning in schools requires students to be able to understand and obtain learning competencies through direct experience based on the concept of learning by doing. Physics learning is done through learning models of Inquiry with Magic Physics. The implementation of learning uses a model of Inquiry with Magic Physics that requires a valid and practical learning device. This study aims to improve the understanding of the concepts of physics, creativity, student activism by producing valid and practical physics learning tools model of inquiry with Physics.This type of research is 4D development research. The stages of research are analysis (Analyze), design (design), development (develop), evaluation (evaluate), and implementation (implementation). The instruments used were questionnaires in the form of validation sheets for Learning Implementation Plans, validation sheets for Student Worksheets, Teaching Material validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires and student response questionnaires. This study uses descriptive statistical data analysis techniques. The results of the study are inquiry learning physics models using Magic Physics, Silent Fluid material for class X MIA SMA in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. The physics learning tools produced are Learning Implementation Plans, Student Worksheets and Teaching Materials. The results of the validation data analysis show that the Learning Implementation Plan developed is very valid with a percentage of 82.5%. Student Worksheets and teaching materials developed are very valid with a percentage of 92%. The practical results of the teacher response questionnaire show that the devices developed were very practical with a percentage of 81.5%. Questionnaire of students' responses to Student Worksheets and Teaching Materials developed practically with a percentage of 87%.

Teaching English through Jazz Chants at SMP Pembangunan Padang: A PDS Project

This essay explores our efforts to add meanings into our work as English teachers in Padang. Having been given the opportunity to build partnership (kemitraan) between school teacher and university lecturer under the Universitas Negeri Padang PDS project (Lecturers Teaching at School), we decided to teach English that was not heavily steered by exam orientation. This is the way we believe we can enable the young people in our hands to relate their English education with their everyday lives and therefore, to make meaning of their English education. One of the ways we chose to reach the goal of our PDS project was by conducting a classroom action research through Jazz Chants methods employed by Carolyn Graham to teach English to non-native speakers in a fun way (2006). The sample of the research were the students of the VIII/C Class of SMP Pembangunan Padang. This research required students to watch over the samples of Jazz Chants being modelled by the teacher, after that the students were involved to try out the chants in unison, next the students were put in small groups and were asked to practice the chants and at the end the students came up with their own chants derived from the original texts. Due to the nature of the singing activity enforced in Jazz Chants, the students studied within a low-anxiety environment and thus, motivated them to try their best. The result shows that in the first cycle, 60% of the students were able to carry out the chants taught very well and remake the chants by themselves. In the second cycle there was an increase of 15% where 75% students were able to do the chants and remake the texts. This evinced that the implementation of Jazz Chants at class VIII/C of SMP Pembangunan was accepted because it could improve the students’ speaking ability and motivation to study English

Meningkatkan Kemampuan Memahami Teks dengan Menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Scaffolding pada Peserta Didik SMPN 22 Surabaya Tahun Akademik 2018-2019

Classroom action research aims to find out how the scaffolding learning model can improve the ability to understand texts. Student’s understanding of the text are very lacking because the teacher does not convey the strategy how to understand the text. The scaffolding learning model can provide assistance individually based on the zone of proximal development (ZPD). The research subjects were the seventh of Surabaya 22 Junior High School class J which consists 34 students. The research begins with giving a pretest whose purpose is to plan the learning process. The pre-test results of students who achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) score of 70 from 34 people were only 5 people (30.40%). From the results of the pretest, it becomes the basis for preparing a learning implementation plan (RPP) of narrative (fable) text using the scaffolding learning model. In the first cycle, the implementation phase of the researcher applied the scaffolding learning model, namely: pre-reading, whilst-reading, and post-reading. The next step is observation. At this stage, the researcher as a teacher who applies the model in the teaching and learning process, collaborators are needed to help observe the teacher's activities. After the teaching and learning process is complete, an evaluation is conducted to find out the learning outcomes of students in the first cycle. The last stage is reflection, the results are obtained: 1) the application of the scaffolding learning model in reading learning, students work in work in pairs. 2) Learning outcomes that can reach the KKM score are only 40.76% so the second cycle needs to be done because it has not reached 60% which can reach the KKM score. In the second cycle, the implementation of the model was different, namely the students worked individually. The learning outcomes of students who could reach KKM became 70.82%, there was an increase from the results of the first cycle. The conclusions of classroom action research are: 1) Scaffolding learning model in reading learning helps students to understand the text starting from pre-reading with activities starting from: how to read text with correct pronunciation, find keywords starting from reading skimming texts and scanning, until students fully understand the contents of the text. So that the scaffolding learning model helps students develop critical thinking skills. 2) Scaffolding learning model in reading learning can improve the ability to understand students' texts from 30.40% to 70.82

This article examines the development of a project-based learning model to be more effectively applied in junior high school level practical learning. Modification of the PjBL model consists of 3 main syntaks 1) the planning stage, 2) the implementation phase, and 3) the evaluation phase.In the implementation of modifying PjBL it will be more effective if the teacher sketches the design of the learning message and conducts guidance in stages on each practical project carried out in the learning, this is in accordance with the comparison of results in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2.The number of students who completed in cycle 1 were 26 students in cycle 2 as many as 51 students.While the average score of cycle 1 is 33 students with good qualificationsand 23 students were quite good.In the second cycle the value of the average score is very good, there are 17 students and there are 40 good qualifications.

This study aims to improve the activity of students in accounting learning, especially in the topic‘analysis of transaction sources’. In addition, this study aims to improve the learning outcomes of transaction source analysis. To achieve this goal the author applies the Inquiry learning model with the 5 M approach, namely the scientific approach through student activities by observing, asking, gathering information, associating and trying, or drawing conclusions from the activity. Data collection is done by making an observation sheet, which contains of 5 M, from the results of observations processed to see the activity of students in learning, processing is done by tabulating data to see the numbers of students were observed, asked questions, gathered information, associated, and drew a conclusion. Test instruments were carried out before learning and after that related to the source of the transactionto see the improvement in learning outcomes The test results are processed through percentage calculation. There were 36 students of SMK Muhammadiyah 04 Belawan taken as samples. From the results of the study, all the samples were categorized active in observation activities; 12 students or 33.33% were active in asking the questions, 30 students or 83.33% were active in gathering information, 13 students or 36.61% were active in communication and 10 students or 27.78% were active in trying to make a conclusion. Besides the activity of the students, the result of the study was found based on the test. In pre-test, it was found that there were 30 students (83.33%) who obtained 41-60, meanwhile there were 6 students (16.67%) who obtained 21-40. After having the learning process through post-test it was found that there was an improvement on the students’ achievement; 15 students (41.67%) who obtained 81-100, 20 students(55.56%) who obtained 61-80, meanwhile only 1 student who had no improvement.

The problem of physics learning at the UNP Laboratory Development High School is that it has not actively involved students in learning. The implementation of learning is still teacher centered in that it is still dominated by teacher activities in presenting learning material. The nature of science learning requires the existence of student activities in finding concepts and principles of science / physics. This study aims to see an increase in student learning activities in the effort to discover the concepts and principles of physics after the application of discovery learning models. The research method used is classroom action research with 3 cycles to see an increase in student learning activities. Each cycle consists of 4 stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The instrument used was activity questionnaire and learning outcome test. The instrument is also equipped with reflection journals from program of Lecturer Assignment at School (LAS). Activity data were analyzed by percentage techniques, and reflection journals were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study showed that learning activities in each cycle increased. Likewise, student learning outcomes that are given each cycle also increase. It can be concluded that through the LAS program, student learning activities in the discovery of physical concepts and principles can be improved for the better. The LAS program provides experience for teachers and lecturers in understanding the problems in learning and providing the best solutions.

The material of energy sources and alternative energy, in learning Physics class XII in high school, requires students to be able to understand and obtain learning competencies through direct experience, which is based on the concept of learning by doing. On this occasion, researchers tried to find other alternative renewable energy sources, one of which is cassava mask, with the aim of providing learning experiences to students, discovering and developing creative, innovative ideas and increasing student activity in physics learning, to find other renewable alternative energy sources that are around students. This learning can be done through an inquiry approach with steps: formulating problems, formulating hypotheses, collecting data, testing hypotheses, formulating conclusions. The results showed that by providing material with renewable alternative energy sources from cassava mask, the current strength was generated with one cell 0.7 Volt and the current strength for one cell was approximately 1.5 mA, with a series relationship and the cell line tapai made. those who have been made can turn on the LED lights or check the cellphone. From these results students have creative, innovative ideas and activities to find other alternative sources of electrical energy from ingredients around students. Materials that can be used as alternative energy sources are those containing acids, bases, energy, sugar, salt.

PDSl is one of the grant programs organized by Ristekdikti. Some of the objectives of this program are to strengthen the partnership between LPTK and partner schools, strengthening teacher education programs at LPTK. One outcome of this program is that lecturers placed in schools are required to conduct classroom action research. Based on the research class actions carried out at the junior and elementary level have increased abilities of student learning outcomes. The study was conducted in Cirebon State Middle School 2, which was conducted in class VII F on mathematics and at the elementary level at SD Negeri 4 Kenanga, Cirebon Regency. The method used is class action research with the Kemis Taggart model. The results of the study obtained an increase in student learning outcomes. At the junior high school level 1 cycle, 46% of students reached KKM while in the second cycle it was 71%. Improvement of student learning outcomes seen from the percentage of the first cycle of 78.57%, and the second cycle of 92.85%.

Classroom action research has been carried out to find out the improvement of student learning activities in biology subjects during the learning process by applying the Discovery Learning model in the XI IPA2 Senior High School class. The background of this study was due to the low student learning activities observed at the initial observation. The design of this classroom action research uses was the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four steps, namely: plan, action, observing, and reflect. The lesson material presented during cycle 1 is the structure and function of cells, and in cycle 2 are various bioprocesses in cells. The steps of the Discovery Learning model that are carried out are as follows: (1) giving stimulus (stimulation), (2) identifying problems (problem statements), (3) data collection (data collection), (4) processing data (data processing) , and (5) verify. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA2 SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Padang, which numbered 30 people. The study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. Students' learning activities observed were: (1) paying attention to the teacher's explanation, (2) actively participating in the work on LKPD, (3) asking questions to the teacher/friend, (4) answering teacher/friend questions, (5) disturbing friends or doing other work. The data obtained were analyzed using percentage techniques. The percentage of learning activities obtained is then concluded by referring to the criteria proposed by Arikunto (2006). The results of this study revealed that the application of the Discovery Learning model on biology subjects in class XI IPA2 SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Padang could increase students' positive learning activities and reduce negative activity.

This research was motivated by the low interest in studying Sociology of students in class XI IPS 4 Senior High School Pembangunan Labor UNP Padang. To overcome these problems, research is conducted by using discovery learning learning models. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of learning through discovery learning models as well as increasing interest in learning Sociology of students in class XI IPS 4. This research is a classroom action research with a total of 27 students and conducted in class XI IPS 4. The results of this study shows that there is an increase in interest in the Sociology learning process. This is evidenced by the average percentage in the first cycle of 55.39% and increased in the second cycle of 74.95% so that it can be concluded that through the discovery learning model students' interest in learning Sociology can increase. This is due to the steps in this discovery learning model that can provide stimuli to students so that they can activate their cognitive aspects, which then gives students the desire to work together to explore various phenomena in relation to the material being taught. Students are left to find themselves and experience their own mental processes, the teacher functions as a guide and gives instructions. Thus discovery learning is able to involve students in the process of mental activity through exchange of opinions, by discussing, reading on their own and trying on their own, so that children can learn by themselves individually and collaborate to generalize the concepts or principles they find. So that the ability arises (1) to explore and solve problems to create, combine and generalize knowledge; (2) learning experiences of participants in the student training; (3) verification of new knowledge and existing knowledge, (4) clarification of concepts and principles found by students, (5) communication between students. The process of their own discoveries based on their learning experience succeeded in arousing the interest of students in learning Sociology to be able to further improve their abilities individually.

Instilling character values are very urgent among students. The facts, in community, nation and state, show that moral degradation occurs, among elites, societies, and young generations asa nation's successors, including students. Pancasila and Citizenship Education, as a subject in school, carries out a mission as a values education. Pancasila and Citizenship Education aims to educate students being good citizens who have knowledge, skills, good attitudes and competent. To realize it, we need cooperation, not only parents but also, communities, lecturers and teachers. If all component engaged to instill character values, the result will be more maximal. The existence of a School Lecturer Assignment (PDS) program is a good moment to build collaboration between lecturers and teachers in planting character values for students. This article will elaborate deeply, the forms of collaboration between lecturers and teachers to instill character values in Secondary School Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP.

The problem in this study was the low level of students' critical thinking skills in chemistry and chemistry learning activities of students in the class X-2 of SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. To correct this problem, in this study applied the Think Pair Share (TPS) Learning model. The aim of the study was to improve students 'critical thinking skills on the subject of Redox Reaction, to improve students' chemical learning activities and teacher chemistry learning performance. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research, using two learning cycles. The subject of this study was class X-2 of SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan with 26 total of students that consisting of 12 men and 14 women. And the object in this study was students 'critical thinking skills and observations of students' activities on the redox reaction material through the application of Think Pair Share (TPS) Learning Model in class X2 of SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. From the data analysis, it shows that the evaluation results for the students' critical thinking ability test in the first cycle obtained a percentage of completeness of 50% and for the second cycle the percentage of completeness was 84.61%. The results of observations of student activities in the first cycle obtained a percentage of completeness of 61% and 83% in the second cycle. And observations on the ability of teachers to manage learning in the first cycle of 70% and in the second cycle increased to 91%. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills on the subject of the redox reaction with the application of the Think Pair Share (TPS) Learning model in class X-2 of SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan

This meta-analysis aims to determine the effect of using student worksheets on student physics learning outcomes. This type of research is descriptive survey research. With a purposive sampling technique, 10 proposals from FMIPA UNP physics education students in the 2014-2018 period are summarized. This meta-analysis aims to produce Virtual Laboratory student worksheet of Physich that valid, practical and effective for senior high school. This study is a Research & Development (R & D) . Based on data analysis, obtained an average validity of worksheet from all thesis >84, The results an average of the teacher’s response to worksheet is 89.40 (very strong) and the student's response is 85.51 (very strong). Based on the results of research and development can be concluded the Virtual Laboratory Student Worksheet of Physich are valid, practical, and effective.

Values are the result of a Learning Process. From these assessments, the quality of learning has been described. If the process is carried out properly in accordance with the rules, the results obtained will certainly be good. An objective assessment is impossible if the teacher only does the final assessment, without taking into account the process and steps of learning. Often the teacher ignores the assessment of this process, so that students who carry out the learning process really escape observation, as a result the teacher sets the rank less on target, leads to the final USBN results, where students who cheat and close sitting with smart friends will be of good value. Preliminary data on cycle 1 were taken by the author, for example, from 6 teachers (Class 1 to Class VI) 5 people from the teacher (83.33%) tend to only do results or knowledge assessment, while assessing the process (skills and attitudes ) as if it was neglected, so that the assessment was not objective yet and this would harm students. This research was conducted in two cycles, because from the results of research and data analysis, it turned out that after the Inhouse Training was conducted, in the second cycle, the teacher had included the assessment process, then it was formulated to be the final score. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the process assessment must be done so that it can be used as a support for the final value.

This study reveals that scanning techniques can improve the ability to understand the content of reading through guidance and counseling services for grade IX.E students at the SMP Pembangunan Laboratoium UNP. Based on the results of the observations, it shows that the ability of grade IX students in understanding reading content is still low. This is evident from the students' reading ability that is 66.23% of 26 students who have not been able to achieve the defined KKM, which is 80. The causes of learning problems in understanding reading content of students teachers have not used appropriate reading learning techniques. This study aims to describe the application of scanning techniques to improve the ability to understand student reading content. This study uses a classroom action research design in collaboration with the teacher which is carried out in 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were teachers and students. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests and field notes. The results of the study show that the implementation of teacher activities during the implementation of the first cycle and second cycle learning process receives a percentage of 100% implementation. Meanwhile, the achievement scores of teacher activities in the first cycle were 80.11 and 89.53 in the second cycle. The learning outcomes of understanding the reading content of students in the first cycle obtained a percentage of completeness of 80.11% and 86.76% in the second cycle. So, it can be concluded by applying scanning techniques can improve the ability to understand the reading content of students through counseling guidance services.

This study aims to determine: (1) the application of the jigsaw method combined with the mind map method to improve economic learning outcomes of class X students of Padang Development High School, and (2) How much improvement in student learning outcomes after obtaining a jigsaw learning method combined with mind map. The type of this research is classroom action research (CAR). Data collection is done by tests. Data analysis techniques are qualitatively. The subjects of this study were grade X students of Padang Development High School. The results of the study: (1) the results of student achievement from pre-cycle to cycle II had a lot of increase in the results of economic learning achievement of class X IIS 3 students of Padang Development High School (2) Learning outcomes in cycle I showed that there were still many students who get under the standard minimal. Of 36 students, 18 (48.5%) students did not pass of standard minimal and 17 (51.5%) students who were able to fulfill standard minimal with class average scores of 61.11. Student learning outcomes in cycle II are better than cycle I. Of 36 students 31 students have been able to pass of standard minimal and 5 students are still under of standard minimal, so the average class is 83.8 with completeness of 85.7%

Assessment of learning outcomes is a mandatory instrument that must be done by a teacher in carrying out learning in the classroom. The school lecturer assignment program (PDS) produces good collaboration between lecturers and teachers, starting from preparing tools and methods of learning and good assessment for quality learning outcomes. HOTS-based assessments require a higher level of cognitive assessment at levels C3 to C6. Through HOTS assessment students are taught to think critically and be able to analyze every problem and real issue. This study aims to describe how students respond to HOTS-based assessments. This research is a descriptive qualitative study using interviews and tests as data collection. The results of the research obtained state that less than 50% of students have not been able to solve the HOTS problem in the first stage of the test. Whereas in the second stage test 75% of students were able to solve HOTS problems well. In addition, the results of thisthis study indicate students are able to master HOTS-based questions in solving economic problems.

Refleksi Pelaksanaan Program Penugasan Dosen di Sekolah/ PDS pada Pembelajaran Geografi di SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP School

Artikel ini ditulis untuk mendeskripsikan refleksi pelaksanaan program Penugasan Dosen di Sekolah (PDS) pada Pembelajaran Geografi di SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP yang dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 18 Juli – 19 September 2018 sebanyak delapan kali pertemuan. Program PDS/Diployment ini diterapkan di kelas X IIS 1 dengan jumlah siswa 34 orang. Guru Geografi bertindak sebagai observer pembelajaran. Data refleksi pembelajaran dikumpulkan dengan, 1) catatan harian, 2) jurnal refleksi pembelajaran, 3) lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa dan 4) dokumentasi video dan foto. Untuk mendapatkan bahan refleksi yang lebih konkrit, penulis merangkum data pembelajaran dalam satu pola refleksi yang disebut dengan “three ways conference” dengan rumus 3-2-1. Pada setiap pertemuan, observer merumuskan tiga hal positif yang terjadi dalam pembelajaran, lalu dua hal negatif yang terjadi serta satu saran untuk perbaikan. Hasil refleksi pembelajaran mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat tiga hal positif setelah pelaksanaan program diployment ini yaitu, 1) guru mendapat pengalaman nyata dari dosen tentang pemilihan model, strategi, metode dan teknik serta media pembelajaran yang efektif dan sesuai dengan karakteristik materi dan siswa, 2) dosen memperoleh data tentang kondisi ril pembelajaran di kelas seperti karakteristik siswa, hambatanhambatan belajar siswa serta upaya mengatasinya serta pengalaman merasakan “rutinitas” guru di sekolah, 3) terbinanya kolaborasi antara dosen dan guru dalam merancang, melaksanakan, menilai serta merefleksi pembelajaran secara bersama. Dua hal yang menjadi catatan dari kegiatan PDS ini adalah, 1) pelaksanaan PDS baru bisa dilaksanakan pada satu kelas, padahal setiap kelas memiliki karakteristik berbeda. Sehingga dosen dan guru baru mendapatkan sedikit data tentang pembelajaran di sekolah, 2) pembelajaran yang diterapkan dosen membutuhkan akses internet sebagai sumber belajar sedangkan di sekolah ada pembatasan penggunaan smartphone dan akses internet bagi siswa. Satu saran untuk perbaikan adalah dirasa perlu keberlanjutan program PDS ini dalam waktu dan tingkatkan kelas yang lebih luas.

This study aims to analyze the effect of teaching materials on physics competencies students and suitability which include: (1) background of research problems, (2) problem solving, (3) research procedures and (4) research results. Qualitative meta-analysis using methods the method of this research is the meta-analysis method according to David B. Wilson and George A. Kelley. The study population included the thesis of physical education students a FMIPA UNP in 2014-2017. The homogen sample used to obtain the sample. Samples are 10 theses which discuss the influence of teaching materials on student competencies. The results of this study indicate that (1) background of research problems: problems raised in the thesis influence of teaching materials on student competencies in 2014-2017, namely (a) students are less active in learning (60%), (b) use of strategies, models, approaches that are less varied (60%), (c) teaching materials used are not optimal (40%). (2) Overcoming the problem: (a) integrating learning with character values and MSTBK (80%), (b) using Strategy, models and approaches (80%). (3) All research theses have followed existing procedures. (4) The results of the study discussed: (a) the results of the study discussed (10%) did not conclude the effect of teaching materials on skills competency, (20%) there was no influence of skills competency, whereas (70%) there was a significant influence on competence skills of students. (b) there is a significant influence on attitudinal and knowledge competencies (100%), there is 1 thesis that explains there is no difference in physics competencies between students who have initial and not knowledge, and no interaction between students' initial knowledge and materials teaching applied in PBL models.

This Classroom Action Research (CAR)was done at the second grade social sciencesstudents of SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang involved 33 students. The research is aimed at(1) describing the improvement of learning process on writing procedure texts using picture series media for the second grade social sciences students of SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang, (2) describing the result improvement of writing procedure texts using picture series media for the second grade social sciences students of SMA Muhammadiyah Kupang. Data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Thequantitative data were collected through test and thequalitative data were collected through observation and interview to the teacher. The results of the study showed that (1) the learning process gone well and students were active in carrying out the learning activities, (2) picture series could change the classroom situation to be more alive, and (3)picture series could improve the students’ ability in writing procedure texts. It could be seen in the improvement of the students’ writing score from the first cycle until the second cycle. There were 64% students who passed the test in the first cycle, and 82% in the second cycle.

This study aims to increase the activity of students in science learning. This research is motivated by the low activity of students in science learning activities in class IX D SMP Pembangunan LaboratoriumUNP. Through the implementation of guided inquiry learning models, it is expected that there will be an increase in student activities in science learning. This research is in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 28 objects in class IX D. The study consisted of 2 cycles, each of which consisted of 3 meetings. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in student activities in science learning. This is evidenced by the average percentage of student activity values in the first cycle of 45.51% and increased to 75, 87% in cycle two. Increased student activity occurs because all the syntax of guided inquiry learning involves students to be active in learning. So that it can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model in science learning can improve student activities

This meta-anaysis aims to summarize the results of studies on the effects of students worksheet in increasing students Physics SMA learning outcomes that can be known: avarage of the effect size (ES), standard deviation and in increasing students learning outcomes. The method of this research is descriptive research survey. The number of research results are summarized is 10 thesis of physics education students of FMIPA UNP. The results of the data analysis yields that ES at 7,532 and persentase in increasing students learning outcomes at 31,71 %. Students worksheet that produces the most influence among the 10 existing theses is that the worksheet contains comprehensive intelligence in the problem based instruction model with a scientific approach.

The world of education in Indonesia is still faced by the weak learning process. Generally, there are several factors that influence the learning process such as educator teaching techniques, models; learning methods and the independence of students. This study uses meta-analysis. Meta analysis is a studyof a number of research results in similar problems. This study aims to analyze the effect of Student Worksheet on student learning outcomes. The method of this research is a meta-analysis with a sample of 10 thesis students of physics at FMIPA UNP. The type of research used in this study is survey research. The type of survey used is descriptive. The population in this study was the thesis of students of physics education at FMIPA UNP in 2014-2017. The procedure in this study was adjusted to the steps of conducting a meta-analysis suggested by David B. Wilson and GeorgeA. Kelley. The meta-analysis study showed that the effect of student worksheet on the physics skills of the subject level of education, learning materials, and models was used. This study shows that PBL has a high influence on problem solving skills. The results of this study indicate that the problem that is often raised is the low competency of students as many as 10 theses. The problem is about the lack of interest in the learning process for students. The use of media that is still rare such as worksheet makes students less active in learning. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that there are all theses concluding that (1) the results of research that less interesting learning process for students (60%) and the use of media is still rare (40%).

This research is motivated by the lack of active students in learning, so learning is still a teacher center. Based on this background, the test of this research is to produce a module that is integrated with the Two Stay Two Stray learning strategy assisted by media cards to improve student learning outcomes in learning. This type of research is development research with the development model of IDI. From this study, the conclusions were obtained, namely at the stage of validity, obtained an average of 84.33% with very valid criteria, at the practicality stage, the results were 79% with practical criteria. This means that the module developed can be used because it meets very valid and practical criteria.

The aim of this study is to see the students' mathematical communication skills after applying cooperative model type Think-Talk-Write. This research is kind of Classroom Action Research. The subjects are students of class XI MIA 2 of the Laboratory High School of Universitas Negeri Padang. The instruments used in this research were written test, observations sheet and field notes. The action learning process is said to be successful if the observations results of the activities are good. The criteria for the success of mathematical communication skills are determined by a test, that is if at least 75% of all students have reached a value of ≥75. The results showed that the learning process and students' mathematical communication skills were good. The average score of students' mathematical communication skills is 73.87 and 75.86% completeness percentage. Based on this results, it can be concluded that the cooperative model type Think-Talk-Write can improve students' mathematical communication skills in class XI MIA 2 at the Laboratory High School of Universitas Negeri Padang

PDS is an LPTK Revitalization activity that requires lecturers to experience firsthand how to become a teacher. SMKN 5 Padang is one of the Vocational Schools in Padang city, which has the field of electric power engineering technology expertise, that aimed to produce graduates who are theoretically and practically competent in the field of electric power installation as a good operator. To achieve this, the learning process of the Electric Motor Installation cannot be done only with conventional learning models, namely the lecture and question and answer method for the delivery of material and then proceed with the students carrying out the practice based on the images and instructions given by the teacher during the learning process. For this reason, class action research (action research) is conducted which aims to improve students' cognitive competences by applying Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning models in the learning process of Electric Motor Installation in students class XI. The results of this study indicate that in the cognitive domain of cycle 1 there has been an increased student learning outcomes when compared with learning outcomes with the previous learning model, the completeness of the students' classical achievement of the KKM is 60%. Then the improvement of student learning outcomes improved in cycle 2 after several improvements were made in the implementation, where the students' learning completeness was theoretically reached 83%. Thus it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the learning process of Electric Motor Installation

This research is aimed to know: whether the learning using Problem Based Learning model is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes in students SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan TP 2017/2018 viewed from the completeness of student learning, student learning activities, the ability of teachers to manage learning and student responses. is an Integrated Class VIII student of 4 SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan TP 2017/2018 consisting of 30 students. The object of this study is the model of Problem Based Learning in improving the students' mathematics learning outcomes with the subject of the circle. Data analysis technique in this research is Classroom Action Research. The instrument of this research is about test, observation sheet for student activity, teacher ability to manage learning, and student response. From the result of the research which has been done, obtained the improvement of learning mastery from the result of student evaluation classically with the initial condition (36%) complete, while (64%) unfinished later by using Problem Based Learning model in cycle I (66%) which is complete, while 10 students (34%) has not been completed, cycle II progressively increased to 27 students (90%) thoroughly. Obtained by increasing of percentage of student activity in cycle I equal to 56%, cycle II equal to 79%. The percentage improvement of teachers' ability to manage learning in cycle I is 72%, second cycle is 87%. The percentage of student response in cycle I was increased by 64%, second cycle was 85%. Based on these details, it can be concluded that learning mathematics by using Problem Based Learning model in grade VIII Integrated students 4 SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Medan TP 2017/2018 is effective on mathematics learning outcomes in terms of mastery of student learning, student activities, the ability of teachers to manage learning, and student responses.

Improving the quality of learning for teachers should continue to be done. They must be given coaching or coaching with colleagues as well as with a tutor to design quality learning. The PDS Program (Assignment of Lecturers in Schools) is a model of teacher training to achieve quality learning in schools. Is a way to improve the quality of education that never ends. With PDS this can be implemented for teachers to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. The purpose of writing this article is to describe a study of PDS. Between lecturers and teachers can give input to each other and improve the quality of learning that has so far been neglected. The activity was carried out for 8 times. The study data was obtained through several data collection tools in the form of learning videos, observation notes from elementary school teachers, and learning reflection journals. The results of the PDS implementation study show that the role of the lecturer is very much needed as an education expert in increasing the continuing professionalism of the teacher. The conclusion of the findings of the PDS study is that the PDS program is able to improve the quality of learning of students.

The low activity of students in learning chemistry at Senior High School of Pembangunan UNP needs to be overcome; one way is through the assignment of lecturers to schools. This study aims to increase student activity in chemistry learning at Senior High School of Pembangunan UNP. This classroom action research consists of three cycles which was done in eight meetings. The learning process used discovery learning and guided discovery learning models. Sample of this study consisted of 31 students at class XI MIPA which was selected randomly. The research instrument was observation sheet of student activities and the data were analyzed by percentage technique. Student activities which was observed consist of 12 items, namely (1) formulating problems, (2) formulating hypotheses, (3) collecting data, (4) answering the questions, (5) giving opinions/asking questions, (6) giving respond, (7) cooperating in groups, (8) help friends who have difficulties in learning, (9) proving the truth of the hypothesis, (10) writing conclusions, (11) ) presenting conclusions, and (12) doing homework. In the first, second, and third cycles, the average percentage of student activity was 58.5% in the medium category; 73.3% in the high category; and 81.7% in the very high category. Research findings indicate that the learning process used guided discovery learning models through the PDS program could increase student activity in chemistry learning at Senior High School of Pembangunan UNP. Therefore, the PDS program needs to be continued to improve the learning activities of high school students.

This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in physics learning outcomes of grade XI students of SMAN 3 Padang by using Project Based Learning model and to find out the large increase in physics learning outcomes of grade X high school students with the Project Based Learning model. This type of research is classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles which are 4 stages for each, namely: stage of Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The results of the study are the application of the Project Based Learning model in the Dynamic fluid using a venturimeter tool can improve the physics learning outcomes of grade XI students of SMAN 3 Padang. The increase in physics learning outcomes on the average cycle 1 is 84.17 and the average cycle 2 is 87.08; The gaintest value obtained is 0.37 with the medium category. This shows that there is an increase in learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 2.

This research aims to improve ability of X grade acuntan 2 vocational school Muhammadiyah Ambarawa in constructing report text. This research is classroom action research. The research procedure was implemented in two cycles adopted from Kemmis model. Each cycle consist of plan, action, observation, and reflection. The researcher used test as a research instrument. The results showed that the language games can improve the ability of vocational school the students in constructing report text. Their average school get improve 82, 86.
